Trump has this one locked as far as I can tell. I think they set the rules for the convention
prior to rather than after as it’s four years to the next one. Most of the rules don’t change that
much but they did lock Paul out of being nominated in 2012 by changing the rule to require 8 states
won instead of five to be placed in nomination.
