And whether he had a CCP or not, does not address what the cop asked him and what his verbal or physical response was. Was he reaching for a weapon? Or reaching for something and a weapon happened to in the general vicinity? I’ve seen enough photos that make me convinced he had a weapon on his leg or thereabouts.
and, let’s not open the “intent” can of worms, which might include “extreme carelessness”.
Then he is totally off the hook, right?
If the police would release dash cam video, we might know. Wonder why they haven’t?
and of course, this is all perhaps a tragic event...not one planned...not deliberate...a panic situation when faced with perhaps a perp and that perp has a gun right on his lap....not a good situation....
