He’s wrong. Yenez could have told them a taillight story to not alert them to the fact that he was investigating the armed robbery angle, and probably chose not to do a full felony stop because he wasn’t all that sure he had a match, and wanted a way to find out.
Btw, Reynolds in her statements to the media afterwards repeatedly said taillight, then began saying headlight. But that’s one of her lesser inconsistencies — here I prove she’s LYING about when she started making video:
