The video clearly shows a distraught officer, almost near tears, making what is called an excited utterance, “I told him not to touch it!” Meaning, the weapon was exposed at one point or the officer was told that he had a weapon, and the officer gave him instructions not to touch it.

The officer was responding to Reynolds comment that the deceased told the officer he had a CW permit. So I would imagine it's possible the officer already knew he had a gun before he ever saw it. I really hope this was not an accidental discharge by the officer which triggered the officer to shoot multiple times right after being told by the deceased he had a CW, while at the same time seeing Castile still moving his hand towards his ID as he was requested to produce.

Just thinking out loud here.

It is uglier than homemade soap but showing criminal intent is a non-starter.

Just glad Marilyn Mosby isn’t in charge of this one too. Her gutless responses to the low information voters and SJW wanting to see police officers hang was her swansong.

Glad to see that Minnesota prosecutors are being methodical and metered, as law should be.
