Usually I find myself agreeing with your posts, but I do like Gingrich as VP (although imperfect like everyone else). Gingrich will mercilessly and effectively call out media bias all day long. The two together could really eviscerate the msm, and destroy the left with a crushing defeat in my opinion.

I'm starting to agree with other Freepers that all this Newt/Christie/Pence teasing is just one big distraction and that the actual VP candidate is already sitting at the Trump Tower waiting for the announcement to be made.
Trump can be very theatrical and we might be in for quite a surprise come Friday morning.
Trump has repeatedly said you never want to make all your options public, and has criticized Obama for doing that. So I really hope it is someone not on the public list, just as an object lesson in how Trump will operate, including taking his own advice.

If the "2 people" are Newt and Pence, and if Newt wasn't asked to say that much, then Newt just ensured Pence will be the choice.

I think, Christie will be VP candidate. He was first to endorse Trump and told him establishment plot against him.

That's what I thought when I first heard Pence's deadline was fast approaching. Trump was going to have to say something before that.
There’s also the Lincoln Tunnel and the Holland Tunnel, which are much more likely options when driving up from the Trenton area. I don’t ever go as far north as the GW bridge (at the very north end of Manhattan) unless I am headed into New England and not into Manhattan.

Those are good points. When Trump said he wanted an attack dog as veep, it seemed more like a Newt or even a Christie hint than a Pence-indicator. It would be an asset to have a veep who could, for example, eviscerate the MSM over such idiocy as the sheriff’s star.
At the same time, it would be nice if Newt could finesse this a little more. How many times can you announce you’re a finalist before people are tired of hearing it?

If he picks someone off the radar, I think it'll be someone who came out publicly to support him early, back when Cruz and others were still in the race. Trump values trust and people who aren't afraid to "go against the grain," and early supporters fit that requirement.
Put me down for Pence. Pence is vanilla to Trump’s Rocky Road. I think they have been telegraphing it’s going to be Pence to tamp down on the “Trump is unpredictable” meme the Dems have going.
