Then the father abandoned her too, for a younger woman. He didn’t want to pay Trayvon’s support, so he yanked the teen away from the only mother he’d ever known, and with whom he had deeply bonded.
Dad turned Trayvon over to Sabrina, who overtly preferred her younger son to Trayvon. She bragged, however, that there was always a box of cereal on the table, in case Trayvon wanted to eat before school.
Trayvon’s grades plummeted, and he turned to drugs, burglary and fighting. His life became a downward spiral. Mother and Father of the Year, his biological parents WEREN’T.
