Florida. There you have it.
Surf’s Up!
Things don't REALLY start to rock 'n roll until the Richter scale hits a 5.0. THEN, it's time to ROCK 'N ROLL!!
Clearly caused by Climate Change.
Why i won’t live there, tsunami safe zone.
ping!
bad omen for obama......
Just another day in the Bermuda Triangle.
Boy, if Florida started shaking the ground would look as though it were melting. Earthquakes and sand are not good company.
So Florida is going to become an island. I guess it’s globull warming. Omama can’t blame this on too many guns. But I’m sure he will try.
Last time I was in Miami I thought I was in another country. Last time I was in Key West I thought I was in San Francisco.
Possible whale fart.
I was in New Smyrna Breach just down the highway when it happened and didn’t notice. Not surprising I guess.
Didn’t feel a thing. Is the tsunami on it’s way?
Isn’t this the type of thing that releases the methane bubbles from the seafloor, reducing the buoyancy of ships, causing them to sink, causing the Bermuda Triangle mystery’s?
It’s all that fracking going on in Florida!
Crazy. We spent most of the time at New Smyrna Beach yesterday surfing. Were stuffing our faces with post-beach tacos around three. Wonder if we’d have seen better waves if we’d stayed. Daytona is just about five miles north of NSB.
There were a couple in 2006 that could be felt in Florida and Georgia.

Although the risk is small, tsunamis are possible on the East Coast of the United States from a variety of sources, according to new research.
The most likely source for an East Coast tsunami would be an underwater avalanche along the continental slope.
An offshore earthquake of magnitude 4.5 or above could cause submarine avalanches and create dangerous tsunamis with waves higher than 26 feet. Underwater canyons and bays could focus these waves and make them even bigger.
There are plenty of areas along the continental slope where the North American continent ends and drops into the Atlantic Ocean basin at risk for these landslides.
Florida is at particular risk, as it is the “flattest” state in the US.
