I have been watching political conventions since 1968 and have never seen anyone totally self-destruct as Cruz did tonight. Definitely a night to remember.
I really hadn’t gotten into any of the vitriol against Cruz before tonight. Until now I just viewed him as another candidate who fought hard but lost. After this “performance” designed to be of benefit only to 1) Ted Cruz and 2) Hillary Clinton I hope his career is toast.
Now I see why so many people despise Cruz so wholeheartedly.
