It was a nice touch of class.

Contrast that to any of the Demoncrats.

IMO Melania isn’t really fit to defend herself. Nor should she be. She is a retired super model and mother, not politically established whatsoever. This will go away hopefully very soon. Others will stand in the gap.

You know, it would be one thing if Melania had lifted an unusually poetic tern of phrase, you know,
‘rendezvous with destiny’, or ‘we chose to do these things not because they are easy, but, because they are hard’. What she said is pretty standard stump speech fare. Value of hard work, word is my bond, respect others...not especially original. Solid, time honored advice, probably uttered ten thousand times in political speeches.

FYI, there are online services that check plagiarism. You simply upload the document and the service does the rest by cross-referencing millions of published texts. Very easy and relatively inexpensive.

Not a big deal. As Comey says in far more serious matters, no intent can be divined just careless!

Trump wins the news cycle yet again. Turns a lemon into lemonade - attention on Melania’s speech, looks good not firing a minority woman.

During his Presidency, screw UPS will happen. Good to know he can deal with them wisely. Nobody lied to Congress or the FBI in a national security matter. It was just generic positive speech

You can bet your sweet *** I’ll never say, “My word is my bond” anymore. These liberal plagiarism police are tough!

The frozen head of Walt Disney was consulted, and promises that no Disney movie will EVER start with the words, "Once upon a time", nor end with "...and they lived happily ever after...", or even end with "The End".

I have to wonder if Jr decided to leave in the self plagiarism by his speechwriter just to tweak the media..or even if they added after the Melania issue.

You can bet they will now vet their speeches!

CNN just reported when their sound engineers played Melania’s speech backwards the repeated phrase was heard, “Hillary is dead”.

No intent was there to harm anyone or take unfair advantage.

Sounds familiar...I seem to have heard similar words recently...along with "no reasonable prosecutor", I believe

The service I have used is Plagiarisma.net. Very interesting service and most helpful for my line of work.

If Melania said she admired some things Michelle said in her speech, at that time the speech writer should have asked what exactly Michelle said, warned about plagerism, known about the fuss press makes about alleged plagerism and checked Michelle’s speeches and avoided them.

Just Bullshhat.

I stay in the underminers in the campaign camp. Saw it in primary with own eyes.

This was the way I hoped they'd do it. Melania's great crime, that the hillaristas in and out of the media are hyperventilating over is.....admiring Michelle Obama!

Keep in mind how unfair this is to Melania. She speaks five languages, and English isn't her first language. It's TOTALLY reasonable that she would tell a speechwriter the thoughts she wanted to convey, and as much as possible do the writing. But of course she'd have a writer to be sure the English is perfect!

Look, folks......The Obama/Clinton, biased, media is in full panic. Their gravy train is coming to an end!!! If they only knew how foolish and stupid they look. There was just a guy on MSNBC....I think his name is Jonathon Allen....he was literally frothing at his mouth and his his eyes were popping out of his head....ranting and trying to make a big issue of this farce. Truth be known....no one with half a brain cares.

Melania Trump did an outstanding job on Monday evening..and...delivered a blockbuster speech from A-Z. I did a ton of public speaking in my career and my hero was Martin Luther King, who I think was one of the best speakers of all time. I used to study his every move and spoken words to prepare for my speeches. And....I used his famous line in motivational speeches, “like the words uttered in the old Negro hymn,....so many years ago,....free at last, free at last.....great God almighty....we are finally free at Last”, many times to honor the great leader and fantastic orator!!! Melania Trump....ya done just fine, woman!!! And, the overwhelming number of Americans are with and stand by you!!!

BY now it should have dawned on this doofus that the msm is a frenzied and mortal foe of Trump.
The serious mistake here, has absolutely nothing to do w/Melania’s words and everything to do the groveling apology accepting responsibility for a nothing event.
By her action, this scribbler clown has now legitimized a bullshit media story by calling attention to it and raising its profile w/the voters. As a consequence, the media now know that the Trump Org can be easily distracted and rattled. Let Ivanka only, speak for the campaign and fire this embarrassment.

And when you play a Hitlery speech backwards, you hear the devil. But that's nothing. When you play it forward, you hear Hitlery!

I am watching for signs of treachery but it seems in the case this is a close associate of Trump. Not someone hired in for the campaign.

Melania eschewed the professional speechwriter attempt and went with this one.

It’s also ridiculous for people to keep yelling about plagiarism which is the latest word they learned and can’t stop using it like little wannabe Einsteins.

There is no actual crime or even ethical breech in this context it is a made up offense. Modeling your speech after the current First Lady could be seen as an act of respect. It is not “stealing” anything.

There is no such thing as plagiarism in this context, not in any meaningful sense.

But some here would sink the nation and the world over a wife’s feel good speech at a political convention.

I’m glad now this horrid crime has been put to rest in the small minds that felt execution, or at least the election of Hillary, was in order.

I on the other hand could care less about stupid crap from the democrats/ MSM and I’d rather spit it back in their faces.

Btw I thought from the beginning Melania should have said she admired Mrs. Obama’s speech and wanted to express some of the same themes.
