Turns out he appeared over a video tape (which was shown to the convention (didn’t know he was gonna do that) but he did endorse Trump and his platform, although not as strong as Rudy.

That is just BS, He didn't and certainly wasn't personally, and it wasn't really a serious attack. The PAC that was responsible also attacked Cruz. That's just BS.

Right before Ted's speech I told my buddy that it is do or die for Ted. He chose 'die'. Right after the speech, I went and found my wife and told her that Ted Cruz's name in this household is MUD, now and forevermore!

Cruz is a douche nozzle. I am not a big Trump guy and can understand given some of what passed between the two of them if he couldn’t bring himself to endorse the Donald. But you don’t show up at the convention and deliver such a petty speech clearly aimed at undercutting the nominee. If you can’t endorse, fine. Stay home and keep your mouth shut. This was simply dishonorable.
If I lived in Texas, I’d seriously hold my nose and vote for a Democrat before I’d pull the lever for this jerk.

This has convinced me, that Cruz is mentally ill. He had to know the effect this would have, and that it would eventually ruin him, but he chose to do it. Death by politics.
It does look now like he'll be primary'd out in 2020.
This is bad - not bad like back-stabbing a colleague over an energy bill. Bad as in ... he did this during a prime-time slot during the national convention.
