To be honest, where were almost all the Republicans?

You are correct. The Republicans had a chance to destroy the Clintons and they let him go with a slap on the hands. Trent Lott and Fred Thompson were two that were instrumental on letting that happen.

Wasn’t Hyde in charge of the House prosecution.

If so, he was instrumental in framing the indictments.

I liked the guy, but I think he had complicity in it too.

In the Senate, I think it was Dole at that point. Dole didn’t run until 1996. The impeachment was prior to that.

Correct me if I’m inaccurate on this.
