“Ailes gets his $40 million parachute and the list of potential suitors begin lining up outside his estate.

The news business has not seen the last of Roger Ailes. With the proven talent he can pull from Fox...”

Why do you think he is getting the “$40 million parachute”? He probably ain’t be running anything until he reaches 103.

There was a lot of talk in recent days that a key to Ailes’ departure was that he agree (contractually) not to compete.

There was also talk about a big severance package ($40 million), which would take of his family for the long run.

He reportedly remains on their payroll into 2018. He is in his 70s, and his diabetes is reportedly getting bad.

It is strange that after many months of praising Ailes for his support, coaching, etc, she turned on him.

Why do you call it strange. Megan Kelly is a legal slut.. and she has demonstrated that she will use whomever, whatever to get attention. She is just another attention whore. Men are the easiest of targets for the flashy flesh... then they itch like the dickens for being used.

No one really cares.

Fox has been a Neo-con network for years.

Gretchen certainly hasn’t covered herself in glory. If Ailes is a predator she was willing to keep her mouth shut as long as she had a job and things were working out for her.

She in essence said “screw” any other women that might fall prey to him.

I am a mom of three... two sons... I accept the male for what he is... it is the winning and itching after he gets what he wants that is hard to take.... The males created this 'feminization' but they sure cannot handle the consequences... They generally can only cope with short time pleasures... and then the finger pointing begins...

Believe me, there are plenty of media companies who would gladly cover any non-compete or buyout clauses that are a part of Ailes’s current deal with FNC. Just a part of start-up costs for a new network.

Fox News, the network that was given no chance for success at its inception, contributes 20-25% of the annual profits for 21st Century Fox. Lots of media outfits would love to have a news operation that delivers just half that amount of profit, on the lean operating model that Ailes built at FNC.

Rupert better hope that Roger Ailes decides to float into retirement on his golden parachute. If he decides to get revenge against the Murdochs, he has the ability to bury FNC. Grab the prime time talent, and the best among the editorial and production staff. Find a media company with deep enough pockets, and voila, you’ve got instant competition and credibility and FNC would fold like a house of cards.

At age 85, Rupert is more worried about ingesting enough Viagara to keep Jerry Hall satisfied; don’t think he has the stamina required to run a 24-hour cable news operation, even with the executive team that Ailes built. His “boys” are nothing but boardroom thugs who would be lucky to run a weekly shopper in Brisbane if their last name wasn’t Murdoch. They don’t have the talent or ability to run FNC, either and they wouldn’t try—no one wants to go down in history as the idiot who killed the golden news goose who generated over $2 billion a year in profits.

Why? If Ailes is conservative, he should start a new network.

Murdoch’s gonna drop dead soon and his sons are liberal.

HE’s 76 years old and he looks like Alfred Hitchcock. Sure he’s got another one in him?

Looks like he’s got a non-compete until 2018 as well.

She’s cute but much more of a mommy type than Me-Gyne. She’s probably the only one who said no.

If she can get a bunch to leave with Roger (esp O’Reilly), she will be king of the hill.

With a $50 million buyout, he can afford the best healthcare. And being banished from the networks he built from scratch create a powerful motive for revenge.

The non-competes are like buy-out clauses for college football coaches; on the surface, they look airtight, but all you need are some sharp lawyers and some money to remove that obstacle.

Ailes departure creates a rare opportunity in TV: a chance to create a new cable news channel that could be instantly profitable and contend for the top slot, with all of the revenue rewards that come with it. Roger Ailes took FNC from start-up to #1 in five years—something the media “experts” said could never be done. And he did it with second-string network refugees, radio talk hosts and individuals who had never done opinion TV before. This time around, he can bring established, proven talent and with enough clearance on cable systems (and marketing) he could catch FNC very quickly.

He could probably do it as a chairman of the board kind of arrangement where he wouldn’t have to work too hard. If he produced a network that was actually conservative instead of ‘fair and balanced’ (whatever that means), it would be, as Britt Hume once said, like picking up money off of the street.

The reason Rupert left Ailes was to AVOID about 30 personalities from Fox News walking away and starting up a new channel under a different name.

Ailes could leave Fox News and take almost the entire Fox News personalities with him under a different name LEGALLY speaking.

Rupert knows that would kill the Fox News name. Hence, by keeping Ailes as an advisor only..., then it will be hard for the personalities to walk away without being legally liable.

As for now the Globalist have CAPTURED Fox News in order to save Hillary.

Keep in mind the Globalist will go after Clear Channel and conservative radio, the Internet, etc...

We have to fully commit to this information war until it’s won. The Globalist are making their move.

I wonder how soon before Meagain has Hitlery on her show. She can now go full bore against Trump as Ailes has been removed from the field. Her next week lineup will probably be Cruz, Gaysick, Cruz and Hitlery with a cameo by Beck.

They were never threatening to leave. They may have discussed leaving for a better deal once their contracts are up.

I’m sure they hate Kelley even more. She probably rubbed her “girls” all over him until she thought she was untouchable then she turned on him. Especially after he told her to give Trump a “monica’..

Except it was Gretchen Carlson who brought down Roger Ailes, not Megyn Kelly.
Megyn Kelly is still co-hosting the highest rated convention coverage.
