Outgoing Fox News CEO Roger Ailes and Donald Trump have been on the phone with each other all week, fueling speculation the media veteran could wind up as a Trump adviser,
The pair "counseled each other" in "multiple phone" calls this week, the news site reports, citing two unnamed sources.Ailes has been active in Republican politics, serving as a consultant to three Republican presidents, and has been friendly with the real estate mogul for "decades,"
CNN Money reports.
The CNN Money report comes as Rupert Murdoch biographer Michael Wolff wrote Thursday about "rumors" swirling that Ailes would come aboard Team Trump as a campaign manager.

But, Val Jar will get a pass.
Donald Trump, PLEASE, stay away from this guy. He is BAD NEWS. He will never help you but he will hurt you.
Ailes is a politically savvy guy. But, he would be bad optics. If Trump should seek his advice he would be smart to do it in the QT and not tell anyone. He already has enough problems with the women’s vote.
Hell NO!
Very bad optics.
Maybe this is another media plant by Trump to drive them crazier.
Or to hack off Kelly and send her into vapors
Oooh...I was thinking more like payback to Megyn!
Sounds like a CNN fabrication, like most of their stories
My wife is a very strong Trump supporter.
She has had to put up with crap from bosses.
If Trump associates with Ailes, he will be dead to her!
AND ME!
All of a sudden the “Trump Network” sounds like a possibility. Consider, Hannity, Greta, BOR, etc. all jump with Ailes.
Big mistake, IMHO.
The clintons already have a news network, why not Trump?
“My wife is a very strong Trump supporter.
She has had to put up with crap from bosses.
If Trump associates with Ailes, he will be dead to her!
AND ME!”
On the other side, Trump ACTUALLY employs a LOT of women in very high positions, and there has NEVER been a sexual harassment claim (the media would have jumped all over this at ANY time in the last 35 years, let alone since he declared).
So, the bottom line is that if Trump hires Ailes, both you and your wife won’t vote for him - and I don’t understand how that is the least bit rational. What do your wife’s bosses have to do with Trump?
That all said, I do think that it’d be bad optics, and I do think that this is a CNN hit on Trump.
Newsmax and CNN both tied to Clinton. Ailes and Trump go back 30 years. Maybe he just wanted to talk to his friend. Hiring him is just speculation on the part of Newsmax and CNN.
Hopefully Manafort will head that off at the pass.
Stay away from suspicious characters.
There isn't one woman in the world that hasn't taken crap from a boss...GOOD FREAKING GRIEF!!!WAKE UP and LISTEN TO YOURSELF!!!
Might not be a bad idea, really. Ailes knows his stuff. However, Ailes might be radioactive after the sex harrasment stuff, and would allow Hillary another mysogyny accusation opening.
If Michael Wolff reported this, you can bet it is overheated speculation.
