A lot of Massachusetts shooters will reflexively fill in the circle for the D on the ballot. Most people vote out of habit, without giving it any real thought. Most people don't weigh arguments and positions, they look for confirmation bias and vote their prejudices and preconceived opinions. Grandma couldn't join the same club as Henry Cabot Lodge, but the Kennedys were Catholic, therefore Republicans bad, Democrats good.
