"Daud (or Dawud) is the Arabic form of David and anyone referred to as a prophet of Islam is someone that came before Mahomet, so this is a reference to King David of Israel, who of course was no prophet of Islam any more than Abraham (Ibrahim) or Moses (Musa) was."
The point is that Muslims CLAIM David as one of their prophets, not that it is necessarily a legitimate claim. Pointing out the Arab equivalent of the name "David" is useful, however.

They also claim Jesus (Isa bin Maryam, or “Jesus son of Mary”) as an Islamic prophet. There’s a whole book in the Koran about Mary titled “Surat Al Imran” (or “The family of Imran”).

For the BBC and the Kraut authorities to be calling the Musloid killer "David" is a coded "dog whistle" for Brit & Kraut Jew-haters.
Anti-Semites are WELL AWARE of the derivation of "David".
