I’ll give her a pass on Defender ... I own one and I get beaten mercilessly by it constantly ... I’m lucky to get to Wave 10 (thought I have it on ridiculously difficult / tournament kind of settings). I love that game though ... that, Tempest, and Robotron 2084 ... all must-own classics :-).
I think Clinton was more of a Pooyan fan anyway :-P.
