The Iranian revolution of 1979 established a hard-line Islamic regime. Over the next two decades, Christians faced increasing opposition and persecution: All missionaries were kicked out, evangelism was outlawed, Bibles in Persian were banned and soon became scarce, and several pastors were killed. The church came under tremendous pressure. Many feared the small Iranian church would soon wither away and die.
But the exact opposite has happened.....
...Two factors have contributed to this openness. First, violence in the name of Islam has caused widespread disillusionment...Second, many Iranian Christians have continued to boldly and faithfully tell others about Christ, in the face of persecution.
Jesus does his best work under pressure...
Don't tell me the story of the Jewish Messiah cannot penetrate the darkest Muslim heart!! This is such ENCOURAGING news!
ISIS and Islam and the statists in America may think they're winning the day. They will not. They cannot.
Someone else ascended to Heaven and is ruling this world--nothing happens without His providence, and HE is working all things out for His glory.

In history, the born-again Church of the Lord Jesus Christ often grows under persecution. There are those who believe that the born again Church in Communist China is much larger than the American born again Church. Thank the Lord for his mercy and grace.

You do not see things happening here because NO ONE hardly ever shows up to pray.

They know how to do what the American church doesn’t
PRAY .People do not gather to pray and they had better start because persecution is COMING
We don’t need stealth bombers - there are Farsi Christian radio ministries that are making a big difference that we support, but ultimately the best work is what God does through individuals.
We get caught up in hostility for Iran because of the regime that took over after the Shah (thanks Jimmy), but the Persian people are beautiful and have a rich history. We lose sight of how many Iranians DO NOT support the radical regime that has a stranglehold on the country. Many of them yearn for freedom and love the West.
We should have supported them when they tried to throw off the yoke of tyranny, but instead our administration supported the Muslim Brotherhood and the Arab Spring. Sad.
