Now VFW halls are closing left and right.
Yep. Two closed here in just the last year or so. They both tried fund raisers and getting local news to publicize their plight.
In fact, the VFW's attitude was probably the "kick-start" needed to form the Vietnam Vets of America organization.
I joined the VVA, but quit 6 months later when I discovered they allowed non-VN vets to join.
