The man who said he shot unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in self-defense said he was punched in the face while he was talking to people at a restaurant in Sanford over the weekend.
George Zimmerman and a friend called 911 after a man accusing him of bragging about the fatal shooting punched him in the face, authorities said.
Channel 9 obtained the calls made by George Zimmerman and his friend.
911 dispatcher: “What started the argument?”
Zimmerman: “He recognized me. He told me he was going to kill me he told me he'd (expletive) shoot me and he punched me in the face.”

The media always lies about Zimmerman. More than likely he was attacked and that’s justification being used in defense of the attacker.

He probably did the right thing by calling the cops. But he needs to get in shape and learn how to defend himself if people are going to continue to recognize him in this way. If he buffed up, stayed mum when called out, and hit back when a smart ass takes a swing at him, I doubt he’d get unwanted attention for long.
Were the witnesses black? Could they read cursive?
If the truth be known, George got punched because he was a white Hispanic. Just another historical moment in Obonzo’s racially divided Amerika.
If somehow I was George, I would have the day after the trial, I would have sold off everything I had in Florida, and moved to Texas, change my hair and looks as best as I could, traded my car/truck for something else, and started and new job or career doing something I could do. And changed my name as well.
I would let my lawyers handle my lawsuits against the media and stayed away from the spotlight and kept myself out of trouble. Also I would have stayed away from women until it the trial was old news and my looks and body was different that no one recognize me anyways.
But hey, that would have been the smart thing to do, we are talking about Zimmerman a total idiot

Call me a skeptic, call me a raciss, but I’m not buying the anonymous Sanford, FL restaurant customer witness’ story without a little more.
Active avoidance of trouble, notoriety, and exposure would serve him better, I agree.
Whatever Zimmerman would have done would have eventually been broadcast by the media.
