Leading swim coach Michael Bohl, who has seven athletes racing in Rio, said he had to move his training session into the main arena as a precaution because the water quality had deteriorated at the warm up pool.
Bohl brought world champion Mitch Larkin, butterflyers Emma McKeon and Grant Irvine into the main arena for the afternoon session as a health precaution.
While Bohl said other swimmers remained training in the cloudy water, organisers had assured him they were looking into the problem.

A few years ago people were touting Brazil as a nation to be reckoned with on the international scene. Nah, they’re still a Third World dump run into the ground by leftists.

The French are wrong about everything, aren’t they, when it comes to politics and international relations.

I don’t think de Gaulle was wrong about that. Brazil has always had the potential to be a great nation, but alas, they will never be so.

Having flashbacks to my high school. We all took a detention rather than dive into that sickly looking green water.

When you consider how cold those pools are kept--much much colder than any recreational swimming pool--they have to be
really really filthy in order to become "soupy." Ordinarily you can't see the most disgustingly high levels of bacterial growth in a commercial or residential pool. So this has to be horrifying.
On the other hand, maybe this is a good thing in the long run. If these Olympics are a total disaster, it might be the impetus needed to get a permanent site for summer and winter games. Greece could sure use some economic stimulation.
