A 20-year-old man who was involved in a purse-snatching and assault of an elderly woman at an Omaha church last year was critically injured early Friday in a shooting in northeast Omaha.
Wayman Clark was taken in critical condition to Creighton University Medical Center after the 1 a.m. shooting near 34th and Seward Streets.
A 21-year-old man, Johnathon Semans, was arrested in connection with Friday’s shooting.
Clark was awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to robbery in the August 2015 case in which he punched a 76-year-old woman during a purse-snatching at Omaha’s St. Cecilia Cathedral.
