Understanding the Trans Pacific Partnership

Okay, I know you're not dummies – but if a book is required to break down Microsoft Word into simpler terms, then the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) requires a library. The 2016 candidates both in local races (for example, Paul Nehlen vs. Paul Ryan in Wisconsin) and our presidential race are always talking about the horrors of TPP. But the warnings fall on deaf ears because no one knows what TPP is. Why the hysteria?

What exactly is TPP (Obamatrade)? TPP is a massive, pro-corporate trade agreement among the United States and 11 other countries. So what's wrong with that? Isn't this free trade?

Well, TPP is labeled a trade agreement, but only a fifth actually deals with trade. Of TPP's 30 chapters, six deal with traditional trade issues.

That's one red flag. Another red flag is that TPP, like Obamacare, was negotiated in secret – no peeking, no sharing, no access. This is how our government replaced the greatest health care system in the world with a shoddy third-world version that is destroying our economy: in secret, away from the American people's prying eyes.

Another reason the government was able to push through Obamacare was the sheer size of the bill: 2,700 pages. Congress didn't read it; no one did. In fact, when Obamacare made it to the Supreme Court, the government lawyer suggested that the justices go through the 2,700-page bill to decide which parts were constitutional.

Institute a non-elected body to control trade and international law.

This is no treaty - This is a sell-out of American Values , Laws, and Trade !

Congress didn’t write it, congress didn’t read it, in fact congress wasn’t really allowed to read it. But they conspired to pass it while pretending to vote against it.

This is banana republic stuff. This is rule by decree.

Just like Obamacare, just like TARP, just like the treaty-that-isn’t-a-treaty with Iran, the president decrees and our “GOP-led” congress and senate rubber-stamp it sight-unseen.

I don’t understand the generic drug part. Does TPP outlaw generic drugs?

It does look like they want to outlaw it and if a patient cant afford a high-priced medication, well that is just to bad. Thanks to that arrogant pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, and the demonrats who voted for the Unaffordable Healthcare Act

Instead of paying Americans a living wage to produce a product, the manufacturer will ship those jobs to countries where labor is damn near free. Corporate profits up, Americans jobs gone, donors taken care of.

And TPP will remove most or all the remaining tariffs on imports from TPP nations and make it even more profitable for US firms to move production out of the US to cheap labor nations. Cheap labor and no tariff to ship into the US.

The US pushed for tougher intellectual property standards and enforcement and that could extend patents and have stricter patent enforcement, thus making it illegal to produce some generics now being produced

I don't know a lot of details, but that's the general area that would affect generic drug production.

Hillary's onboard TPP b/c Obama considers TPP central to his presidential legacy and to his foreign policy and economic legacies.

No 'conservative' in their right mind would ever vote for TPP----which has horrendous consequences for American workers. (the duplicitous Cruz voted for TPA---to fast track TPP for Obama.)

TPP is best understood against the backdrop of the "get-rich-quick" mantra;
of Obama's post-presidential get-rich-quick foundation plans ala the Clintons.

NOW ISN'T THIS INTERESTING? few, if any, of the RCEP and
TPP countries contributed to the buck-raking Clinton Foundation.

Looks like the Clintons and Obama divvied up the globe so that each have their own countries in order to collect big buck get-rich-quick foundation donations, honorarium, cosultancies, and int'l insider business deals.

THE FACTS ARE THESE Obama's trade deal giveaway is a huge scam...best examined against the backdrop of Obama's two tax-exempt foundations (two-that we know of). Obama's priming the pump for donations to his two Foundations.

All of Obama's thinly-veiled actions....

(1) promoting TPA and TPP,

(2) his immigration suck-ups

(3) his non-action WRT ISIS, IRAN....

.....are best understood against the backdrop of Obama's future get-rich-quick plans as an ex-president----more specifically, his two get-rich-quick Foundations (two foundations that we know of).

All these entities control billions of dollars---and Obama is lying-in-wait for his share: foreign donations, lucrative insider trade deals from untapped resources, energy deals, telecom deals, arms sales, consultancies, million dollar honorarium...and so on and so forth.
