Terri Been’s voice shook as she read a long text message from her niece.

“I had a nightmare about my dad last night,” Paige Rowan told her aunt in the text.

Rowan described a dream in which she watched helplessly as the execution needle pierced her father’s skin.

She woke up screaming, panicking and feeling hopeless, she told Been.

There should be no death penalty. Conservatives on principal should not support it.

As a Christian, I absolutely support the death penalty, as I believe in the sanctity of life, and anyone who takes an innocent life should be punished.

The death penalty, administered in a timely manner when there is no reasonable doubt of guilt, deters other potential murderers.

The properly-administered death penalty saves lives.

John Allen Muhammad will never again drive a blue Chevy around the Washinton beltway, while his accomplice shoots people.

I absolutely guarantee it.

I know you have to excerpt it, but could you at least put in the part of what he actually did?

It is “Party Law.”
If your with someone who commits a crime you are guilty.

I was being questioned for a jury back in the 90’s.
It was about a guy that was driving a car where the other guy broke into a house.

The Judge asked if anyone had any questions, so I asked about “what if it is a bus full of Nuns and the bus driver robs a 7-11?

The Judge dismissed me and I have never been asked to be on a jury again.

You’re a conservative with no Biblical knowledge? How does that work?

So he was an accomplice in a robbery that resulted in murder. He has accomplice liability.

If the law and society allowed I would prefer that hard labor be enacted in place of the death penalty.

I’m guessing I’m in the minority on that though.

For people who did the deed, execute; for those who were party to it, hard labor for a very long time.

There should definitely be death penalty; however it should be only for instances of absolute no doubt

Try losing a loved one to murder (I haven’t) and see how you react. Ted Bundy deserved it, Gacy deserved it.

The death penalty in our nation is NOT a deterrent for one reason: there is no prompt justice.

Hang ‘em within a year of their crime, and you’ll see a deterent.....

I would prefer that hard labor be enacted in place of the death penalty.

No problem with a sentence of hard labor where it's appropriate ... but some people need to hang.

Did you read the article?
He willingly took part in a crime, being the getaway driver of a robbery, that resulted in a murder. In Texas, everyone involved in that crime is charged with murder. I agree. Criminals are not an endangered species, they are not protected, they are not special, they are not worth more than an innocent. They are a plague on the human race.
I will personally pay for that shot, voluntarily and without regret. Kill the vermin and send a clear message. Commit a crime and kill an innocent in the commission of that crime; and everyone involved has their life forfeited.
That is justice.

You are not a Conservative if you want to ban the death penalty. Your card has been revoked.
