110 rounds fired-68 hits. that seems like an excessive amount of missing. sloppy.
Some shots may have been intentional ricochets. Sometimes, all you can see of the perp is his feet under his car. A shot at the pavement will travel a few inches above the ground, better than hitting the car frame with a wasted shot.
He shot killed their fellow cop. They shot him. Case closed.
(Normally I oppose spray and pray....though shots to hits here is a better proportion than the NYPD Amadou Diallo shooting where 4 cops fired a combined total of 41 shots, 19 of which struck Diallo. Of course Diallo’s crime was reaching for his wallet )

It does especially considering after the first couple of lethal hits he’s inert. Basically they’re beating ‘a dead horse’. Makes you wonder, it really does. It goes well beyond poor training to something basically wrong with the mental and moral state of the officers involved.
If it ever comes to confiscation of personal weapons these are some of the guys who will be participating.
