Shortly after Hillary Clinton left the Obama administration, the State Department quietly took steps to purchase real estate in Nigeria from a firm whose parent company is owned by a major donor to the Clinton Foundation, records obtained by Fox News show.

On March 20, 2013, William P. Franklin, an “international realty specialist” at the State Department, emailed Mary E. Davis, an American diplomat stationed in Africa, instructing her to “put on Post letterhead” an “expression of interest” by the department in purchasing property at Eko Atlantic, a massive real estate development off the coast of Lagos. Franklin further instructed that the signed letter was to be “delivered to Ronald Chagoury.”

I once received a Nigerian email for this very offer. A shame I passed on it.

Why is the US US State Department buying Nigerian real estate other than for an embassy??

you blew it, Friend - You could’ve been the owner of property “off the coast of Lagos”.

Pretty sure you’d need a submarine to visit it, though.

what we already knew is that while Hillary was at stake the state department of parently was the property of Hillary.

but the new thing we now know is that even AFTER she left our state department it CONTINUED to belong to Hillary.

That’s the question. IT’s nice to play with other people’s money.

More and more, the US electorate is being changed to one where corruption is seen as normal and expected. The millions of illegals largely come from cultures where corruption is expected.

It’s not just the Clinton’s or the State Department. This crony capitalism and pay to play is rampant in every department, agency, and branch of government. The federal government must be cut by at least 50% to gut the waste and corruption. We’re at banana republic levels of taxpayer abuse.

If this happened in a Republican administration, the MSM would have jumped on it with glee, throwing enormous investigative resources at it, complete with payoffs to loosen tongues and lots of leaks from helpful congressional staffers to point them in the right direction.

But since it’s happening under a Democrat, they just don’t have the resources to follow up on it.

Which thought causes another thought to cross my mind...

I wonder if the massive MSM wall-to-wall coverage of Watergate, Iran-Contra, etc., were entirely funded by advertiser revenue?

THERE is the question. Why, indeed, is the U.S. Department of State buying real estate? It needs a modest amount of land for an embassy, and for consulates - PERIOD! Anything else should result in Congress cutting its budget by about 10 times the amount that it spent, plus sending the DOS official who signed off on the paperwork to a government office in the middle of Alaska.

That “expression of interest” letter is all that’s needed to show quid-pro-quo. Actually buying the property isn’t necessary. The State “expression of interest” increases the value of the property.

(This may be a Capt Obvious assertion, but just in case, was looking for thoughts on this.)

Note: I’m assuming we live under a rule-of-law government.
