Kentucky: Firefighter placed on leave, retires after video surfaces of him burning Qur’an
Jihad Watch ^ | AUGUST 14, 2016 | ROBERT SPENCER

Posted on 08/18/2016 11:53:57 AM PDT by Mr. Mojo

“City officials said they placed the firefighter depicted in the video on administrative leave. But officials say the firefighter, who has not been identified, retired before they could take other disciplinary action.”

Disciplinary action? Why? Is Bowling Green, Kentucky under the Sharia? Is burning the Qur’an illegal in Bowling Green, Kentucky?

I’m not in favor of burning books. I’d rather that non-Muslims read the Qur’an and know what is in it than burn it. But burning the Qur’an is not illegal in the United States. There is no grounds for disciplinary action against this firefighter.

“The incident was part of a lawsuit filed this week by former firefighter Jeffrey Queen, who says he faced a hostile work environment.”

How was the burned Qur’an part of the hostile work environment Jeffrey Queen says he faced? Did the burned Qur’an belong to him? Did he think it improper for a firefighter to be lighting fires? Did the Qur’an-burning firefighter somehow abuse or threaten Queen? Or did Queen think it abominable to have to fight fires along with someone who disapproved of the Qur’an?

“Bowling Green officials say the allegations in no way represent the city’s values.”

So freedom of expression is not among the values of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Noted.

To a non muslim the Koran is just another book. The fire fighter should have stayed on the job and let them discipline him and then sued the socks off his superiors for creating a hostile work environment for him and denying him his civil liberties.

i agree. But actually the government is more restricted in interfering with free speech that private companies. Any way we are circling the drain if criminal hillary wins. We must work very hard to insure that wont happen.

The quran is a demonic book; they all should be burned before they do any more harm.

I’m against burning books generally, but I would make an exception for Mein Kampf or for the Koran. Both hateful genocidal sources torture and death for untold millions of people.

Saly, all I can do from thins side of the pond, is pee on it.. if I can even get a copy :p

Not even sure if there ARE any copies here.. hopefully not.

If I was still back in the states, I would def take advantage of the situation and use (what I had back then) to put more holes in in (on vid) than Paris Hilton :p

BTW, my best hunting rifle, back in the day, was a Ruger mini-14... I really want to have an M-14 someday, but will probably never hold a gun again (Japan) >.<

*GULP*

I hate to think what might have become of me had I posted a photo involving my 40-pound dog (RIP) and another object. It is truly a classic.

Burning a Quran is a pointless stunt good for nothing other than venting one’s spleen.

We are constantly bombarded with pointless stunts....
What's your point?

...they all should be burned...

So with what would you fill the vacuum created by their destruction?

I got them from hotel rooms in NYC. If I find one in a room I keep it for target practice or trash it outside the hotel covered in feces

There would be no vacuum, just finally fresh air.

If they wish to read something, they can read the Word of Yehova. (but of course their daddy satan wouldn’t like that)

Give him a medal. It works good to start fires, but it’s better used as toilet paper.

they can read the Word of Yehova

Are you willing to disciple them or would be content just to knock the props out from under them?

The “props” under them are massive granite boulders dragging them to Hell.

You seem to have one too!

"There should be a general confiscation of Korans from all prisons and jails in the US, and they should all be burned in the exercise yards."

No reason to waste perfectly good shit-paper

Oh man, seriously? I heard they stopped putting Bibles in hotels a few years ago (really peed off about that).. but replacing them with satan’s book?! NY (and any other state that followed that cr@p) is really disappointing :/

Today, many Muslims are coming to a genuine faith in Jesus Christ. If one wants to attack the Quran, it must be done with a sincere, intelligent presentation of the gospel.

You may not care if they go to hell, but God does. Jesus died for them, too.
