After 256 Days of Hillary Dodging the Press, Woodward Wonders About ‘Transparency’

It’s now been 256 days since Hillary Clinton has done a formal press conference and the Washington Post’s Bob Woodward is wondering about the Democrat’s potential “transparency” as President. Woodward appeared on CBS This Morning, Tuesday, to offer some critiques of Clinton. But the famous Watergate journalist was sometimes mild in his assessments. He wondered, “I think people say if she became president, are we going to have some kind of transparency?”

To be fair, the Post journalist did say of Clinton: “Let's face it, Hillary Clinton just did not come totally clean on this. And she would serve herself well if she would do that.” After co-host Charlie Rose wondered if the Democrat should do more press conferences, Woodward eventually concluded with some advice for the politician:

WOODWARD: Well, I mean, it's not about press conferences. It should be — she should certainly should have them. But she should do serious interviews with serious people who really want to look at all of this. You can't do it on the fly. And she tried to do it on the fly. And it is a giant mistake. Look, the people, the average voter is asking not just what somebody might do as president, but who they are. And who she is her past. And she needs to kind of just sit down and say, "look, on the e-mail thing, I made a serious mistake" and kind of to let it roll out.

Missing was any of Woodward's Nixon/Watergate comparisons. He has made them in the past to Hillary, but not here.

Again, her last press conference was on December 4, 2015. Generally, past behavior is a good indicator of future actions. Yet, Woodward speculated, “Is there going to be a culture of straight talk, rather than a culture of concealment?”

They should call her Yurilary Clintonopov. She’ll last about a month, and have to be propped up the whole time.

Wow! For a group that bill themselves as "The Best and Brightest" from Ivy League "Schools" they really aren't very quick on the uptake.

Woodward is merely sniffing around the obvious facts and conclusions, not at all impressive for America’s famed “investigative” reporter. Hillary is mostly in hiding, makes only highly scripted appearances, avoids spontaneous and uncontrolled questioning, etc.

C’mon Bob, you figure it out, you can do it.

Next to Bill, Hillary, and Barack, Bob Woodward is the biggest fraud ever foisted off on the American public.

All the MSM pukes should be real worried. Hillary will lock them out of the WH we she no longer needs them. And will probably lock them up if they complain.

He’s lionized for doing what any of us could do now days with the internet. Watergate was dropped in his lap. It required zero investigative journalism. Zero courage was required to bust the story because the other Jewish liberals who own our newspapers were backing him 100%.

Regardless of why she avoids press conferences, because she’s crooked or unhealthy, she will still have to face scrutiny in the debates.

The media’s big question about Hillary: Will there be transparency?

The media’s big question about Trump: Will he enslave the blacks he hates so much?

Yeah? Well just what is it that this genius needs to “wonder” about? Because millions of voters see the future regarding Mrs. Bill Clinton with crystal clarity, so they certainly see no reason to be wondering about anything. Another so-called journalist opens his yap and plays the fool.

Absolutely right.

Lets hear it for the “Free Press”.

Don’t get invited to the dance.

Don’t ask any pointed question if you do.

The enemedia loves her just like she is. Liar, autocrat, elitist, statist, America hater, man hater.

They couldn’t care less about transparency. That’s for when there is a Republican president.

The media is a wholly owned subsidiary of the DNC. They will prop her up no matter what, like they do in Venezuela, or Cuba for instance.

My beef with him was his claim that he was motivated to do it for the good of the nation.

Bill Clinton? Mum

Barack Obama? Mum

Fraud!

Graham was the daughter of two German parents. Her maiden name was Meyer. Her mom's maiden name was Ernst.

Mum on Clinton and Obama?. He did it for the good of the nation.

I agree.

Looking up information on Graham they touted her brilliance at leadership citing the high point of Watergate. She was the first female Fortune 500 CEO.

Compared to what Clinton and Obama have been involved with, Nixon was a saint.

Graham was a crusty old broad intent on taking down a man whose biggest crime to her was a difference in ideology.

What a sick twisted _itch.

Oh geez. A Secretary of State who disregards government e-mail servers and any semblance of security protocol for the “convenience” of using her “personal” e-mail would have little concern for any transparency in a potential administration. Her modus operandi is to conceal, obfuscate, omit and control. Any communications coming from HER White House would be the equivalent of the Soviet Pravda or any other fascist regime.
