'Moderate'? Meet the World's 'Most Influential Muslim'
American Thinker ^ | August 25, 2016 | Raymond Ibrahim

There's nothing like knowing Arabic – that is, being privy to the Muslim world's internal conversations on a daily basis – to disabuse oneself of the supposed differences between so-called "moderate" and "radical" Muslims.

Consider the case of Egypt's Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb. Hardly one to be dismissed as a fanatic who is ignorant of the true tenets of Islam, Tayeb's credentials and career are impressive: he holds a Ph.D. in Islamic philosophy from the Paris-Sorbonne University; formerly served as grand imam of Egypt, meaning he was the supreme interpreter of Islamic law; and since 2003 has been president of Al-Azhar University, considered the world's leading institution of Islamic learning. A 2013 survey named Tayeb the "most influential Muslim in the world."

He is also regularly described by Western media and academia as a "moderate." Georgetown University presents him as "a strong proponent of interfaith dialogue." According to The National, "[h]e is considered to be one of the most moderate and enlightened Sunni clerics in Egypt." In February 2015, the Wall Street Journal praised him for making "one of the most sweeping calls yet for educational reform in the Muslim world to combat the escalation of extremist violence."

Read about the so called "moderate" and how popular he is in the west. Then read his actual quotes in Arabic. Here is one.

"Those learned in Islamic law [al-fuqaha] and the imams of the four schools of jurisprudence consider apostasy a crime and agree that the apostate must either renounce his apostasy or else be killed."

I know a few good guys who are muslim who hate the suicide bombers and would be happy if we nuked them in Mecca, however, mention Israel and they turn Nazi about to join IsIs saying ISIS is Mossad.

Let us not kid ourselves. It is not about moderates vs. extremists (and liberals shun moderates because liberals rely on hate to recruit), but much more complex than that, as in “moderates” who can be full of themselves and liable to join the Nazi party or IsIS disaster just because they do not like a jew of a Christian.

Liberals notwithstanding, even a well meaning GoPe or libertarian simply has no clue about what is going on.

Who is ignorant of the true tenets of Islam?

Anyone who hasn’t taken the time, and effort, or considered the duty, and responsibility to ones family, self, and country to get educated on the true tenets of Islam. There is nothing in Islam, compatible with our Constitution, Christian heritage, rule of law, or way of life.

Anyone who thinks otherwise, is ignorant, or thinks you are and will ultimately be on the side of your future enslavement or death.

I work with a LOT of Muslims that claim to be moderate and express sadness and horror at the terrorist atrocities. But lately, whenever Trump is mentioned, their true feelings come out and they go into a near rage before they get control of themselves. Have to confess, I egg them on a little to see how they react, acting like I don’t understand to get them to explain their reaction.
For this reason alone, I would crawl over broken glass to vote for Trump.

Don’t be silly.

The world’s most influential Muslim is President Barack Obama.
