Because like any large organization, only 50% of the membership pay attention and about 10% of those are actually active. Guess who the actives predominately are in Unions? Leftists.
Possibly a deal on pensions for the Teamsters.
Since their jobs depend on strong business, I would bet that it will be difficult to find any Teamsters who will for the Demos.
