Poll: Gun Rights More Important Than Gun Control

A Pew Research Center survey released August 26 shows majority support for protecting the right to gun ownership versus passing more laws to control who can own a gun.

According to Pew, 52% of the public want to “protect the right of Americans to own guns” while 46% support passing more laws “to control gun ownership.” The gap between the two positions was even larger when the question was posed to Donald Trump supporters, who chose gun ownership instead of controlling gun ownership roughly “nine-to-one.” On the other hand, when Clinton supporters were asked the question they responded in favor of more gun control by a “more than four-to-one” margin.

It takes not more than a third grade understanding of math to appreciate the fact that the better armed are the law abiding citizens, the less dangerous or effective will be the criminal element. The more armed civilians, the less danger of any foreign power successfully occupying America. The more our youth are made responsible as the Swiss for our people--as a people--remaining free; the more responsible are our youth in general.

The Left dare not debate the actual issues. The Right & Duty To Keep & Bear Arms.

Somewhat unrelated, I have a shoulder holster I really like, all but the pop-snaps. They are really lousy. I’ve already torn two out by just unsnapping them. I’m particularly concerned about the two that hold .45 magazines in upside down.
Anyone know any freepers who work with leather?
I’ve got some ideas on replacing the snaps, from different fasteners to sewn-in snap magnets, but am hoping to get some advice from someone who knows what s/he’s doing. Thanks for any advice. td

Go to a hardware store and buy new snaps and the punch to install them. Ask how to use them.

Being as this is an aptly-named "Pew" poll, which skews numbers as much as possible to help the Left, I imagine the 52% was probably more like 65%. The 46% was probably more like 20, and the rest were dumbass "don't know, don't care" types.

This leather is a lot thicker, the snaps different. I hammered some tarp grommets into a gun belt for suspenders, so that may be one way to go, many thanks.
I’ll check with the nice lady at Hobby Lobby to see if they have something like that that will work.
Ross makes a nice holster, all but the snaps.
