Either your being deliberately dense or you are just being argumentative with no cogent point.

And what was your point again? That specific guns are not mentioned in the 2ndA? Well, you're not mentioned in the 2ndA either.

My point was that automatic weapons are part of “arms” just like I am part of “the people”. A specific weapon doesn’t need to be mentioned just like specific people don’t need to be mentioned. It’s a clear point, based on basic reading comprehension, and basic knowledge of constitutional principle.

That's nice. Any particular reason why you are telling me this?

Why am I telling you this? Do I need to explain to you how forums work? You began this conversation by responding to my statement “How can you hate guns knowing how many lives they save?” with “From squirrels and skeet? Aren’t guns for shooting squirrels and skeet? How exactly does that save lives?”. You only got more irrational from there, which was quite a trick.

I might be that I’m wasting my time with you, I don’t have any compelling reason to continue trying to communicate basic principles of the constitution to you as you don’t seem particularly interested other than to mock it.

Feel free to never respond to a post of mine and we will never have to repeat a conversation where you apparently lose track of what we were talking about even though the entire conversation is right there in the post.

Why am I telling you this?

A better question is: why are contradicting yourself? On the one hand, you say that specific types of guns are not mentioned in the 2ndA, while on the other hand, you insist that specific types of guns are mentioned in the 2ndA.

I’m not contradicting myself, nor is your characterization of what I said even close to being true, as can be determined simply by scrolling up. Specific arms are not mentioned in the 2nd amendment, this isn’t my opinion and can be quickly validated by anyone that can read the 2nd amendment. As the 2nd amendment doesn’t specify types of arms that are protected all arms are therefore protected. It’s simple. Just like specific people are not mentioned in the 2nd amendment, all people are mentioned in the second amendment.

Maybe you need to read more slowly or something.

Here is the text of the 2nd amendment.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

What arms are specified? None. What people are specified? None. What arms shall not be infringed? All. Who shall not have their rights infringed? All.

No contradictions, just basic reading comprehension and reason.

What people are specified? None.

Right. You're not mentioned. So stop saying that you are. You keep contradicting yourself.

No individuals are specified because all are included. Basic constitutional principle and not a contradiction.
