CAMBRIDGE - Four protestors who identify themselves as members of Black Lives Matter/Cambridge have chained themselves the front door of Cambridge City Hall Wednesday morning, according to Cambridge police.
On social media, the protestors say they are members of Black Lives Matter/Cambridge who are protesting the lack of affordable housing in the city. About two dozen people gathered in front of City Hall, chanting several slogans, including the people united will never be defeated and brick by brick, wall by wall, racist systems have to fall.
Two protestors, both women, have connected themselves to each other using U-shaped bike locks draped around their necks and have used additional U-shaped bike locks to connect to the door handles. The women are also connected to two other protesters, both men, by one arm each. Their arms are inserted into plastic tubing wrapped with red duct tape.
Cambridge police are on the scene and will remain there until the rally is complete, police spokesman Jeremy Warnick wrote in an e-mail. The focus [of protesters] is on affordable housing.
He said City Hall employees are using other entries to get to work, and that no arrests have been made... The protest was continuing as of 8:50 a.m.

Good. Shut down government, keep the protestors out of trouble, give the liberals a headache.
Win-win-win.
LOL. Typically ineffective. Can’t wait to hear the fun on Howie later.
Leave them alone, cordon off the area so no food or water comes in and wait.
No arrests have been made.
Cambridge.Figures.
How about creating a public nuisance or safety/fire ingress egress problem.
I say take the keys and let the A-Holes rot
They should be protesting their indolence and credulousness, if that is a word.
Black people have been weaponized. They don’t even know what they are protesting, except that it is driven by a hatred of white people, and America.
Protesting blacks are a tool of the elites to destroy America.
Thank goodness for email hacks. All this is common knowledge now.

“The Cambridge police acted...stupidly...”—Obama
Actually I hope the cops brought popcorn so they can stay and watch the fun.

affordable housing...
isn’t free cheap enough ???
Just open the door, LOL.
Must’a been white ‘cause no black man would “identify” with a black gang
Ha ha, I bet they love it, another paid detail I guess. ;)
If I was still in Boston I’d be tempted to bring the protesters some Dunkin and chat for a while. You know how libs squirm when challenged. Captive audience, heh.
Truly ... y'cain't tell the players without a program !
White Lives Matter! I demand to be able to live in River Oaks in Houston! We have never had a home over 1800 sq ft, and we can’t afford a bigger one, so what can I chain myself to?
I count three blacks, two boxes of Joe from Dunkin Donuts and the rest white Cambridge pond scum who’ll work for free coffee.
Yes, that is the perfect way to put it! Much more generous than "suckers," which would have been my choice. ;)
It's a cycle that has been impossible to break - the ease with which they accept what is fed to them via emotionalism, and the disinterest in any other perspective which may be of benefit. And it has been the fault of the conservative movement that it hasn't made a strong enough appeal - using emotion - to clarify and focus the crucial economic and social concepts needed to improve their situation. Just so tragic.
Let's hope "What the Hell have you got to lose?" is a beginning!!

Get a job and earn it like real Americans. Lazy, inbred scum looking for more freebies.
