I'm at 35 years! Hard to believe I'm still alive after all these years without NFL.
Early on, I told friends and relatives I had to miss the game. After a while that got old, I just told them I used to have football season tickets (true) and now I am just sick of pro sports altogether (very true). No baseball, hockey, golf, whatever the hell else they have, and especially NO NBA. Somehow I've not been kicked out of the "guy" club, mainly because I am so cool in other ways.
It's also nice to have all that extra time NOT watching games and all that extra time NOT discussing whether we should draft LaYarthonius Simpson or D'la'dee'da "Shithead" Smiff.
I hope more people take the plunge after getting sick of people who think we care about their stupid thoughts just because some fools pay them $15,000,000 a year or more.
I don’t watch any sports. Pro or otherwise. I did watch parts of the Olympics though. I’m much happier going out and doing things myself!
I don’t have a “guy club” yet as I’ve only been in this area for three years and work too much to get it started. But I’m planning to retire next year and we’ll see what happens. I’m planning to do a lot of traveling though.
