I took your advice and did just that. Impressive bio and resume! The only things is, someone edited it after I read it and put a "the above is BS" kind of remark at the bottom of the bio section. Before I could figure out how to remove it, someone else had already done it.
Hillary's trolls are out in full force today!
These retired generals are what generals USED to be before they were turned into a bunch of PC PANSIES!!!! One of these generals was on Fox this morning aYUGE black man a STRONG FORCEFUL man to boot, sure wish our generals of today were like this man however Obammie has woosified our military officers handcuffing them in their rules of engagement and just turning them into a bunch of pansies!!!
thanks!
i can’t do ONE today. HOW does that happen? :(
25 years of laziness happens!!!!
500 isn’t a big deal in a day for a boxer. If it sounded like bragging, I apologize :)
COOL!
That's why it didn't sound like bragging, so no apology required.
(This from a guy who has a good day if he does 50.)
Wow! Thanks for that link, blam. I had seen pictures of it, but never the video! Amazing.
Balls of steel. Okay, good. If this guy is in on Trump, that would be good company for me to keep! (I was going to anyway, but...good to have distinguished company. Not to say, of course, that you guys AREN’T...:)
I tried to keep an open mind about him (I know other Freepers were far ahead of me on this) but when I became aware of his role in the Scooter Libby affair, he became dead to me.
Knowing the truth, and leaving an innocent man out to hang is a despicable thing to do, and it told me volumes about Powell.
That’s a lot of firepower.
Good to see folks who don’t have their heads up their asses, for sure.
***I would urge everyone to look at the Wikipedia article on General Shachnow. That is a powerful story. I had never heard of him. All we usually hear about are the perfumed princes who have their lips grafted on to the buttocks of obama.***
What an amazing life this man endured and overcame. Makes me feel small. I’m glad you shared this.
I had a hospice patient years ago who fled with his parents and siblings from Hungary. They barely escaped alive and were almost starved. They were so happy to make it to America his 2 older brothers joined the Navy during WWII. My patient lied about his age because he didn’t want to be left behind.
I remember he was in some of the major battles and on one of the famous destroyers I just can’t remember which. By the time I got him he had had a stroke and could only say a few words like yes & no and nod his head, but his cognition was still intact and after every visit he would pull out the old big band records from that era and play them and show me pictures. They were amazing to me. His daughter and son-law would fill me in on the rest. I loved him dearly.
It broke my heart when they moved him out of town to a VA home. Me and his caregiver begged them not to because we were afraid the change after living with her all those years and being used to us would be to much for him.
He died less than 6 months after they moved him.
One other thing, him and his brothers managed to meet up together in Japan after the war ended, and they had a painting done of them together in their uniforms on silk. It was huge and hung on his wall. One of the most interesting and beautiful paintings I’ve ever seen.
fifty more than me!! :)
I look like the after in Raging Bull!
I dont know if the real RB got that heavy as the movie took some heavy poetic license.
Yes, I recognize (and served with) several of the Navy Flag Officers listed.
They are the Real Deal!
