Nothing is quite as trite and boring as journalists parachuting in to report on the pathologies of Trump supporters through a phony anthropological prism.
A few weeks ago, Hillary Clintons campaign manager Robby Mook went on national television and declared: There are real questions being raised about whether Donald Trump himself is just a puppet for the Kremlin in this race.
For all the talk over the past 14 months about how Trump has obliterated the supposed norms that typically govern the operation of presidential campaigns, this was a norm-buster for the ages. Puppet for the Kremlin? Thats the stuff of a dystopian espionage thriller. If true, itd constitute a scenario utterly without precedent in American history, potentially shaking the very foundations of the Republic. One might think, then, that Mooks stunning attack wouldve engendered a wave of calls from sober-minded pundits for due diligence and avoidance of hyperbole.
Instead, crickets.
Its worth considering why.
The total paucity of avowed Trump supporters in elite spheresincluding prestige media outlets, think tanks and academic institutionshas created an unprecedented imbalance in our electoral politics. During any given week this summer, commentators might have charged Trump with committing treason (a crime punishable by death), seeking to carry out mass genocide, being clinically insane, or chomping at the bit to instigate civilization-destroying nuclear warnot to mention secretly working to undermine the entire American system of government at the behest of Russias dastardly leader. Such extreme besmirchments have become so common now that they seldom even raise an eyebrow....

But they do drive people and their families and friends away from so-called ‘news.’ Test patterns are more interesting.
Their accusations were so absurd people just ignored them.
Massive confirmation bias.
They’re so deeply in the tank for Hillary the MSM doesn’t see the ground shifting beneath their feet.
IOW, they want Hillary to win because they want to believe its true.
They’re desperate spoiled brats and are acting like it. They really are idiots.
They’re behaving as if mentally ill.
Straight out of “Animal Farm”. The domestic “enemy” is always portrayed as a traitor.
What is so obvious is the way the Clinton campaign is projecting their own policies.
Remember when the Obama regime canceled the treaties that were alread in effect to put up a missile defense in Eastern Europe. It would have helped in deterrence of a resurgent Russian empire.
No one mentions it any more. It is one of the many Obama/Clinton foreign policy disasters.
Considering the persistent efforts of Soros and the perfidy of these traitors in aiding and abetting this sociopath these accusations are humorous.
Good luck with Kennel Cough Clinton, you commies.
When they have no plausible argument and no defense against her obvious treason, then Hey, just pull out the Ole’ Commie card.
This Robbie Mook character is the most incompetent boob I’ve ever seen in politics. Take one look at him and you know that he’s a mean faced, little liberal prik.

What do you expect, he IS a MOOK?
mook :
Coined in the Scorsese film, ‘Mean Streets’, meaning a arsehole or loser.
A lot of people had a blind spot when it came to Trump. Some people got over it.
The progressive tactic is to viciously accuse one’s enemy of precisely that of which the progressive is most guilty. Those who condemn Trump are whistling past their own graves.
Tim Kaine said as much in a speech today on C-Span. His accusations were that Trump's Russian business interests were making the Russians side with him and vice versa. He also said Trump was ignorant, dangerous, etc, etc etc
Shhhh. Let them delude themselves into Cankles’s demise.
If members of the elite media do not take heed, re-evaluate, and regain a sense of fairness, Trump will mark just the beginning of a long, potentially irreversible American descent into madness and decay.

The writer gets it.
Luckily, by God’s grace —Trump will win.
Trump will win twice.
It remains to be seen as to whether he will change the direction of the country. Reagan was great but he didn’t change the direction of the country.

Besides, might they not open a can of worms where the sale of 1/4 of America's uranium to a Russian owned company seem even more traitorous than Trump's joke? Might it not call into question the FBI out-n-out lies about Clinton email-gate as to their collusion in protecting a true criminal traitor who carelessly, or perhaps even wittingly, gave up some of America's secrets to the Russians as well as anyone else willing to hack into her unsecured server?
I guess Michael Tracey is at least trying his damnedest to get some talking points out there, but very few are buying this ridiculous accusation now that they realize criminal Hillary is being given a pass at every toll along the campaign.
