I can tell you (from personal experience) that as the "average" person reaches his or her late 60s and then 70s, the body does start to "crap out" from simple wear and tear. Joints become less flexible, the skin is less resilient, fat replaces muscle, and the overall energy level is lower as primary hormone levels (testosterone in men, estrogen in women) decline. In your mid-70s, when a third of your high-school classmates and half of your friends are already dead, it becomes painfully obvious that, statistically speaking, people age and die at different rates -- rates largely determined by genetics, then altered by lifestyle choices (diet, smoking, exercise, etc.).
And this genetically-programmed slow deterioration of the body is clearly visible to the naked eye. That's primarily how we can tell that somebody's old -- they look "old". Now the presidential candidates campaign fully clothed, so we can't see the sagging chest or breasts, the flabby buttocks, the folds of skin on the thighs, the varicose veins in the legs, the moles and "age spots" on the arms, the circulatory-system issues, the decrepit feet, which you might see if the candidates were dressed in T-shirts and shorts or (ugh!) wore bathing suits at the beach. Our visual judgment of "old" for the candidates is confined to their exposed parts -- the face, and to a lesser extent, the hands.
So, thank you Google search, I went looking for close-up photos of Clinton and Trump -- photos with enough resolution (pixels) that I could blow them up to the areas of interest -- the mouth and the eyes -- where age tells.

Hillary, not so much.
She belongs in a nursing home not the White House.
Author's commentary:
"On the left you see what I think is a reasonable representation of Hillary on the campaign trail. On the right -- is that really Hillary in there? Whoever produced this severely-digitally-damaged picture must really, really hate Hillary."
He fails to note that the picture on the left is from the New Hampshire campaign EIGHT years ago.
TMI, too much detail! I'm going to break my mirror after I hoist my butt up from the computer.
If the individual has remained active the effects are much less, barring disease or injury. When’s the last time Hillary did anything physical, other than climb steps to a podium with a SS assist?
The Decrepit Criminal...Hillaryous Rotten
That picture on the left involved a lot of industrial strength caulk.
Oakum?
When you reach the late 60’s/early 70’s, even if you’ve had a physically active and well-conditioned past, everything wants to pull you downhill - and will if you let it.
Trump, while overweight, clearly looks very healthy for his age - Hillary, actually looks older than her age.
I am 71, and most who meet me for the first time think I’m 10 or more years younger - even in my 50’s. While I to have the gobbler gullet (hate it, but not doing plastic surgery) and am about 14 lbs. over-weight, I work out daily and am in superb cardio condition.
Seems to me that Trump must have a healthy lifestyle as well.....
Hillary? Just the opposite......
Oh my...glad I'm not eating right now. This writer certainly paints a vivid picture.
She looks like she has “smoker’s skin” to me.
When you’re full of crap to begin with, its even easier to crap out. Being sedentary and overweight doesn’t help.
Yoga is not exercise, if she even does it. When is the last time she did anything more physically demanding than climbing up a set of stairs or wagging her jaw?
I am looking forward to the Presidential Debates in spite of the “impartial” moderators.
For the last few weeks Hillary has been very carefully staged managed to present the best possible images. And, that effort has been less than successful.
So what are her handlers going to do if she as an “episode” during the debate? I don’t mean during a break; but when she is speaking either answering a “question” or responding to Trump? How can that be hidden? Go to an extended (15, 20, 25 minute) commercial break?
The LMSM have already badly damaged their “brand”. Any attempt, and there will be at least one per debate, to cover for Hillary will further damage them and, perhaps, their official unofficial owners - the Democratic party.
Trump is overweight, but I don't understand why cartoonists portray him as round, like a giant balloon.
The author of the article neglects to take into account that Trump probably benefits from better skincare than Hillary. Trump has Melania's knowledge of skin creams. :-)
God’s been good to us. I used to be a semi-serious runner, but an arthritic knee limits that due to the repetitive motion. But I play rec basketball 2-4 times a week with those 30-40-50 year old kids. I could stand to lose a dozen or so pounds, but who couldn’t? And that little extra helps in boxing out under the boards.
