I received a phone call here in Maine at 5:40 PM this evening.
The guy said, “I’m James from Gallup poll...”
I cut him off, saying, “I’m not interested, James. Have a good evening.”
Is the Gallup poll still doing polling? I heard they were out of the polling business.
Gallup is out of the polling business.
Trump looks strong. Reagan at this point in 1980 was trailing Carter by double-digits.
I went to their law school. Yes, they are garbage ;)
They were put back on their plantation.

That’s what I thought. The guy calling me was claiming to be from Gallup, so I figured it was a scam of some kind.
I remember that 1980 race. My family was living in Santa Barbara at the time.
Reagan was trailing Carter like you said, by double digits.
By October, Reagan was supposedly trailing Carter by 9 points.
The night before the election, the media claimed it was “too close to call.”
By 3:00 PM Pacific time, the next day, election day, the media called the race for Reagan, and when all was said and done, Reagan won 44 states.
Nope.. In August of 1980 Reagan jumped ahead of Carter 45-29. In September they were tied. October and up to the election they were close within 4 or 5. Last poll was Reagan 47% Carter 44%. Final result was 51-41 Reagan landslide. Its all on Wikipedia. Just search Reagan Carter 1980 polls.
How do any of these polling organizations believe that Johnson is getting 14% in any state?

I didn’t finish law school. I left at the mid-point of my 2nd part time year for various reasons. I learned a lot there. However, that law school had an extreme liberal teacher and student base. In my section of 17 students, I think there was only 1 other guy that was remotely conservative.
Gallup is still doing presidential approval rating polls.
God intervened and saved your soul. You learned just enough to know what’s going on in the “real world,” but didn’t get eaten by it.
I will tell you something abotu that law school. I was in the Torts class. Medical malpractice was the very first case we studied. “The hairy hand case” It is a very famous case. Anyway: Later in the semester we studied whether or not a doctor can terminate a patient upon request, if the surgery did not save their life. This particular professor zeroed in on me. I kept saying no. He kept changing the scenario to be more and more dire, and I kept saying “no, the person should die naturally.” My entire class was staring at me like I was out of my mind.
This is an example of what is going on in those schools. I might go back next year, but I would want to be a pro-bono Christian attorney, and just keep my day job.
I saw the news report a poll that had Hillary up +1 in Texas so I know the polls are BS!
