I understand. That poem, "On Flanders Field," makes me tear up every November.
But I also feel too much American blood has been spilled fighting in the Middle East. Is Europe worth saving again, since it apparently has a death wish?
IMO, we should just batten down the hatches on American shores and let the rest of the world burn.
And along with a wall on the south, consider increasing security on the northern border. With all of the deep woods up here, it would be easy for evil-minded people to make their way south, if they knew what they were doing (in terms of making fires, camping, etc.).

That is a valid question, but one that cannot be asked without also asking, do you want to take the fight to them on their turf, or let them bring the fight to us (which they eventually will) on our turf? The best answer is stamp them out before they get here.
