'Believe me': People say Trump's language is affecting political discourse 'bigly'
LA Times ^ | 9/13/2016 | Lisa Mascaro

f all the rules of politics that Donald Trump has broken in his run for the White House, his way with words may top the list.

Perhaps not since Sarah Palin gave Americans her tossed-word salads has a candidate’s speech pattern been so debated, celebrated and mocked.

But Trump is more than just a free-style rambler. Experts say he employs a very deliberate, effective communications approach unlike any other presidential candidate in memory.

The Trumpisms — “Believe me,” “People say,” “Sad!” — have become so well known they are the subject of spoofs. But like a savvy salesman or break-through advertising campaign, Trump’s techniques carry a quiet power.

At this point, Trump is running unopposed.

Hillary is out of action and she will continue to be out of action. Every single day people are waiting for her to drop dead. Whether she does or does not she won't get a majority of voters because they are not going to buy into the proposition that the president can drop dead at any time. Won't happen.

A sports figure is worth far more than one that is injured on the bench. As of now Hillary is benched. Even if she gets off the bench for a game or two the odds are that she will be more benched then not. Her value has been so dramatically reduced that she cannot recover from this.

As I said, from this point forward it is as if Trump is running unopposed. The polls are also agreeing as such.

Trump doesn’t say “bigly”, he says “big league”.

By all means, let’s talk about Janet Yellen and the plastic banana economy. It’s about time.

This is what people expect now. Not a good optic for Hillary as president.

You’ve got to talk like a real person, with your own voice. So important. This is a man who has employed thousands and thousands of people. Believe me. He talks in a way that helps him make great deals. Really. Some great, great deals. He’s made a lot of money. Believe me. So important. And he can make America Great Again.

We use “Believe me, 100 percent.” “A LOT” around this household.

Trump is full of great quotes.

May God continue to bless him and guide him to victory for all of us.

Trump should show a video of him on the treadmill at a gym

Then skiing

Then mountain climbing

challenge hilLIARy to keep up

Just for fun, challenge Putin to arm wrestle

Trump doesn’t say “bigly”, he says “big league”.

If people can't hear the "g" in big league, then they need to get their hearing fixed, not criticize Trump over it. They, of course, just want to portray Trump as someone too stupid not to know that "bigly" is not a word. Even MSNBC the other day had "bigly" up as a Trump quote at the bottom of the screen during one of his speeches (although they quickly took it down).

I’ll say it is a slightly different way if I can...
President Trump will govern in a way that permits the AMERICAN PEOPLE to again MAKE AMERICA GREAT.
It was the American People who made a sparsely populated, tree covered section of North America to become what we remember and will re-build.
It is Washington that is the problem, not us.

From Art of the Dea”

Fight back.”
Trump says that he prefers to be cooperative and positive, but that sometimes it’s necessary to be confrontational when the other side is treating him unfairly or trying to take advantage of him.

“The risk is that you’ll make a bad situation worse, and I certainly don’t recommend this approach to everyone,” he writes. “But my experience is that if you’re fighting for something you believe in — even if it means alienating some people along the way — things usually work out for the best in the end.”

“Deliver the goods.”
“You can’t con people, at least not for long,” Trump writes. “You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you can’t deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on.”

“It’s a connection that has often eluded Hillary Clinton, with her multi-point solutions to the nation’s problems”

EXCUSE ME?? An elitist academician at its best. Hillary has done NOTHING except convince us she is not Trump and she will basically follow Obama’s defective domestic and foreign policies of flawed governance.

Truly AMAAAAAZING the way these media people can so viciously present distorted gibberish and claim its valid.

His speech patterns go over well before an audience, they’re meant to be heard rather than read.

Trumpisms are similar to Bushisms. Dubya’s famous words were one-time slips of the tongue, like strategery. The Lefties tried to embarrass Dubya over it, but it became popular in a positive way.

Lefties try to mock Trumpisms from Twitter like “Sad!” but the words and phrases are too much fun.
