I agree that child care is not affordanle, but I am concerned that once the child care centers realize that this is guaranteed money, prices will further increase a la health care. Without massive deregulation, this is bound to happen.

You have an interesting point. That is normally how things work.

I was just referring to the mom staying home isn’t affordable anymore. I went PT and made big sacrifices. But, it was so worth it. Up to 5, kids don’t realize that things are 2nd hand or not up to date. Later they start wanting stuff that has a heftier price tag. I’d call those days being tight and working pt some of the best days. Of course I had a good savings to fall back on for unexpected issues (car repairs, extra time off, etc). But,. A simpler life is good.
