Last year my wonder mutt passed on her 14th birthday. It hurts. She was a great protector for my wife and her constant companion.
I’ve found the most difficult thing about having a pet is that we outlive them. If a person has had pets throughout much of his-her lifetime, the sadness of losing them tends to add up.
