Because it works. Unlike adults, children accept what they’re told because they’re designed that way so as to learn from their parents. And once they reach a certain age, the behavior they’ve been taught becomes who they are. Socialists (modern day liberals) have used this to demonic purpose—deemphasizing the role of parents and making children property of the state instead.
