We need a conservative for balance - Trump and Hillary are liberals, too.

That's precisely why Johnson is being excluded. If he was truly a libertarian, the MSM would invite him just like they invited Perot, because they knew he was going to help Clinton.
Johnson has embraced statism and in turn will lead to the implosion of the Libertarian Party. The LP should have endorsed Trump and conservative Republicans in Congressional elections.
