Damn, even Ronald Reagan couldn't take Minnesota - either in 1980 or 1984.

If it is this close in Minnesota, Katy bar the door.

We’re getting to the point where a lot of Americans who have been sleeping at the wheel when they vote is coming to an end. This is an election that offers a clear choice with high stakes and many Democrat voters make the one it’s better for them, the country, and their children.

What was Fritz’s slogan back then anyway?

Mondale: half the charm of Carter but all the cowardice

Reagan probably won MN in 1984.

Mondale only won the state by about 3,200 votes -- less than one vote per voting precinct.

Reagan was winning, but the precincts on the Iron Range held back their reports until everyone else was in. Then, they delivered a huge tranche of Mondale votes... just enough to put Mondale over the top.

The Texas election judge for Box 13 in Texas would have been proud. Look it up, it's how "Landslide Lyndon" got his nickname.
