Yep you are right.
Does anyone think he would have been suspended, if he went on Twitter in support of the rioters?????
And I would love to.know, under what terms of his contract, or the agreement with the players union, are they permitted to suspend someone over opinions on social/political issues???
Pro athletes do have contracts that may limit their free speech rights or other activities while they are under contract since they are representing the team and are public figures.
Of course that applies to athletes on any side of a public issue.
If the team “picks sides” and goes after folks expressing themselves on one side of an issue and not another then a good lawyer could tear them to shreds.
I recommend Clevenger lawyer up immediately. He was not wise to inject himself into the controversy - organizations do not like controversy in the real world. They don’t want to be any part of something that isn’t their own business. The fact that football teams have bent over backwards to allow it is no help - they are just hoping it all dies away on its own after the election (which is what it is all about anyway)
Only if you agree with PC can someone speak freely.

Yep. No different than the soft tyranny experienced in the Soviet Union and the Third Reich. And the transition to HARD tyranny will not be far behind if Donald Trump is defeated in the coming election.
