The moderator is there to conduct the debate and ask questions. Catching one of the participants in an untruth is their opponent's job, not the moderator's. It amazes me that there are people who need to be told something as basic as this. I learned it in high school.

The message to the moderators is to let Hillary blather on and interrupt Trump at every other word. Or act as a 3rd debater that follows every Trump response with a counterpoint before flipping back to Grandmother Rodham

I bet the “off the books” pay for a presidential debate moderator is at an all time high right now. Bet the side benefits aren’t bad either.
