I think the bullet points are good suggestions -- especially the ones about Hillary's medical problems and "basket of deplorables".
However, I wouldn't "ask people of color for their votes". I'd stick with what he has said in the past: you have voted Democrat for decades, and what has it gotten you? What do you have to lose by trying something different? I'm not offering you special treatment -- I'm offering you equal opportunity, and not importing low wage workers that take your jobs.
And, he can take a hard line on the rioting that will resonate everywhere: "we will aggressively prosecute police brutality and honor peaceful protest, but will not tolerate violence and property damage. Period.

As the author points out, Trump doesn't have to "smoke" Hillary. Trying to do so can easily backfire, generating sympathy for her. All he has to do is be a genuine person, rather than the troll Hillary's campaign and the lamestream media (yes, I repeated myself) has portrayed him to be.
