Scott ‏@WmScottBlair The House will take up "Sept 11" bill later today. Speaker Ryan expects there will enough votes for a veto override.

They will never collect a penny from the Saudis

This action will expose how intertwined "our" govs decisions are with what's best for the Kingdom of Saud. That might be their best revenge.

Well, hells, bells. All I got to say is, it's about dang time they shoved it back in his face for a change.

They might be bolstered by Trump's increasing popularity and chances in the polls to be elected. He'll ride rough-shod over them if the Senate doesn't start kickin' some liberal ass (metaphor everyone) after he's elected.

it will never happen. they can request all they want. Then the Saudis will stop making oil and the price will go to $200 a barrel. Then we’ll all be bitching.

Perhaps. But I would be surprised if that’s their motivation. And for as many 9/11 widows that I know, they are not all for this. Some are against it. They just want to move on. That’s hard enough to do when it all gets thrust in their face every 9/11. Or they see their husbands face in their son as the kid ages. Try as I might, I just don’t see the motivation.

Can you believe all but one Dem voted for it.

I just can’t believe it.

The evidence must be very strong.

Nope. They are just trying to submerge their opposition to it. It was going to pass anyway and this way Dems can just just claim bipartisanship. Or whatever.

I suppose that "better late than never" applies here, although there is never a guarantee.

Should have happened first and regularly about 3 months after the First megalomaniac stole the votes for his reelection, and he doubled down on all the ways he was destroying the Constitution and the Republic.

We also have to kill once and for all the stupid charge that the GOP Congress has killed the federal government.

It is their DUTY to oppose continued unConstitutional crimes by the executive.

The illegal president should never have the power to bring government to a halt. The Congress has no obligation, none, to enable him to do it.

I think the real problem for the Saudi Arabians is in the discovery process.

Can the victims of ISIS terrorism Sue Obama for creating ISIS?

That would be Obama AND Clinton...

Will Iraqis start suing the United States? Libyans? Syrians? I can see this possibly being an expensive back and forth.

Pretty hard for them not to. Democrats love giving lawyers more opportunity to sue people and Republicans hate terrorists.

Obama meanwhile wanted to shore up his multi-million dollar speaking fees with the Saudis.

Republicans only had 39 seats to override Obamacare. Not near the 67 needed.

Reid has a big enough profile that he is probably in line for a nice fat speaking fee from the Saudis too.
