Schumer was saying he would vote “yes” & when Reid is gone, Scmucky is expected to be the new ‘sheriff’ in town for the Dems.

Haven’t cross-checked the vote, but guessing that the GOP was joined by Northeastern libs with constituent bases close to New York City.

Pretty hard for them not to. Democrats love giving lawyers more opportunity to sue people and Republicans hate terrorists.

Obama meanwhile wanted to shore up his multi-million dollar speaking fees with the Saudis.

Reid has a big enough profile that he is probably in line for a nice fat speaking fee from the Saudis too.

Did you really have to put Ried’s vote up? :) kind of a given. po garbage.

great. Next, pass resolution to make Saudi Arabia glow, and I will feel compensated for 9/11.

This is a terrible move by the republicans.

So now everybody can sue governments for the harm that they do?

Bet some Syrians might have something to say about having bombs dropped on their heads.

This violates treaties that we’ve agreed to.

This is all about making Ryan look good and saving his career. NO freaking logic being applied here.

I believe that this is the first time in 8 years that I’ve agreed with Obama and I’m irritated with our GOP for putting me in this situation. smh

IF Reid were still Majority leader, veto vote would have never made it to the floor, that’s how most of the early Obama crap got done, Reid ran interference for him in the senate.

Too many Democrat lawyers looking at it as a pay day.
