The sources said the commandos were air-dropped close to the LoC and they struck at seven terrorist launch pads around 2km to 3km inside Pakistan territory — across the LoC in the Poonch and Kupwara sectors.
The sources confirmed that the terrorists — who were planning strikes in Kashmir as well as several metros — suffered “significant casualties”. Although no details were released by the army, some reports said the number of terrorists killed was 38.

"...across the LoC in the Poonch and Kupwara sectors...."

That is quite a coincidence. My wife was mulling a tummy tuck in the Poonch and Kupwara sectors.

Hmmmmm, how many think the shooter in the pic has any kind of a sight picture thru a rifle scope 2 feet in front of his eyes ? The rear lens would have to be 6 inches in diameter to see diddly, but appears to be a standard half inch or so.

There are long eye relief telescopic sights, but this photo is nothing but a publicity shoot. No improved position, no ammo boxes, no ear & eye protection, no observer glassing for targets.

The dust signature from a .50 cal fired over open ground would point to it like a finger. Basic sniper tactic is to shoot & scoot. Just two guys & a gun, nothing more.

Odd looking gun for sure, especially with that scope mounted so far forward.

If the war ensues, it is good business for Lockeed missiles and fighters. Are they American made?
